Description
The Human Resources Coordinator will maintain compliance with employment and HR policies and procedures to ensure fair and consistent treatment for Transitions Care employees, and will maintain compliance with all company, local, state and federal agency requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the daily workflow of the Human Resources Department.
  • Act as the liaison between employer and employee, assisting with employee relations such as handling employee complaints, working with supervisors to handle employee violations of company policies and helping resolve workplace conflict.
  • Assist in exit interviews, terminations and unemployment filing responses.
  • Assist with investigations when employee complaints or convers are brought forth.
  • Administration of FMLA, leave of absence, workers' compensation and disability programs.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, ensuring compliance with HIPPA laws.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in Human Resources and employment law.
  • Assists with new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
  • Assists with other HR functions including payroll and benefit implementation.
  • Monitor, maintain and audit employee personnel files.
  • Complete required auditing, tracking and reporting for agencies that are required by local, regional, state and federal laws.
  • Provide periodic training for new supervisors regarding Human Resources and employment laws.
  • Administer the company's employee benefit and compensation programs such as retirement plans, health insurance, life insurance and disability programs.
  • Review and process biweekly payroll. Verify and input pay and employee data changes as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Education and Experience
Required Experience
  • 1-3 years of HR experience, preferably with payroll, benefits and/or employee relations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business or a similar discipline is required.
  • A general understanding of HR laws, regulations and practices.
  • General knowledge of workers' compensation law and familiarity with ADA, FMLA and state equivalent leave laws is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolutions skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite preferred.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems (Paylocity)
  • Required to maintain regular attendance within office during regular business hours Monday through Friday.
