Job Description
Our client is seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join their team in their therapy services clinic.
As an HR Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our HR department and ensuring smooth operations. Your main responsibility will be to assist in administrating and maintaining all human resource record-keeping systems, processing benefits including providing benefit information, processing payroll and payroll-related activities including time and attendance, use of social media, and providing general human resource information to associates. You will also assist in helping with FMLA and Worker Compensation tracking and working with 3rd party benefit brokers and providers.

Responsibilities
- Assist in processing and maintaining all employee information and records. Enters and
maintains personnel information. - Assist in providing benefit information to employees. Identifies and resolves benefit issues and coordinates resolution with corporate resources.
- Assist in processing payroll for all employees. Identifies and resolves payroll issues and coordinates resolution with corporate resources.
- Coordinates with managers and department heads to obtain pertinent employee information to help facilitate and resolve issues.
- Generates and sends benefit packets, new hire packets, and offer letters to new hires.
- Responsible for verification of background checks and quarterly reporting.
- Assists with tracking other Human Resource information including FMLA, Worker Compensation, Professional License, and other required information.
- Work with 3rd party brokers and benefit providers.
- Assists with job posting and social media marketing.
- Cross-training with other Human Resource Assistants.
- Other duties as assigned, including answering phones when needed.
Requirements
- High School education required.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in an HR administration or assistant role.
- Knowledge of various HR laws, regulations, and best practices in the state of Iowa.
- Some benefit and administration and payroll experience are strongly preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Requires a high level of organizational skills. The position involves a high volume of work and requires managing multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
- Requires ability to input data and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a team.
