Reporting directly to the Director of Human Resources, this role will assist in providing a wide range of HR and administrative support across the company. In this hands-on, fast paced role, you are responsible for carrying out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, employment law compliance, and HR best practices while facilitating a positive relationship between employees and management. You will also support the functions of the office such as the daily mail and deliveries, out going mail and packages along with assisting with field staff duties. This position is required to work in our Morrisville, NC office.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all employees
- Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I9 Employment Eligibility Verification and E-Verify; periodically audits Form I9
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of employee personnel records and tracking systems for attendance, PTO, FMLA, and ADA as well as other reports and documents pertaining to personnel activities
- Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
- Acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications
- Oversee new hire orientation and employee recognition programs
- Performs administrative support to the office and management/field teams
- Completes special projects by clarifying project objectives; setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information; fulfilling transactions
- Assist in administering the performance evaluation program
- Performs benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting and communicating benefits information to employees
- Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed
- Maintains human resource information system record and compiles reports from the HRIS database
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations
- Point of contact for employee inquiries regarding company policies and processes
- Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential
- Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
- Follows all company policies and procedures
- Perform office administrative support work and to the management team

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations
- Sound judgement and problem-solving skills
- Customer-focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion
- Strong organization skills, including detail orientation with strong follow up and follow through skills
- Ability to audit and analyze data, as well as proposed methods for continuous improvement
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Proficient with HRIS and Payroll systems. ADP experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Education and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years hands on HR and administrative experience or;
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, 2 years of HR experience and some administrative background

Pay: $60,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
