Job Description
The Human Resources (HR) Generalist is a professional tasked with strategic planning for staffing, conducting interviews, and hiring personnel to foster a productive work atmosphere. The HR Generalist consults with executives on decisions impacting all management and employee levels to foster a safe, healthy, productive, and professional work environment to ensure continued sustainability and overall well-being of the employees and the company.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develops and implements HR strategies & initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy within the bounds of budgetary limitations.
· Bridges management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
· Manages all recruitment and selection process.
· Supports business needs through development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
· Nurtures a positive working environment across all Company Branches.
· Oversees and manages a performance appraisal system to drive high performance.
· Maintains a pay plan and benefits program.
· Assesses training needs to apply to and maintain active company training programs.
· Reports to management and provides decision support through HR metrics.
· Ensures legal compliance throughout human resource management.
· Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Indirectly supervises all company employees under the Branch Manager(s) and/or Accounting Manager
· Responsibilities include:
o Interviewing, hiring, and training employees at upper management’s direction.
o Appraising performance.
o Rewarding and disciplining employees.
o Addressing complaints and resolving problems.
o Assisting in the design, creation, and implementation of SOPs within the company.
o Other duties as assigned by the CEO or parent company.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Master's Degree (MA) or equivalent, or two+ years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Computer skills required: Human Resource Systems; Microsoft Office Suite; and Payroll Systems (ADP TotalSource preferred)
