Job Description:
Tranco Global is seeking an outgoing, highly organized, and detail-oriented individual to fulfill the role of the Human Resources Generalist at our corporate headquarters location in Chattanooga, TN. The Human Resources (HR) Generalist is responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department. Their duties include comparing HR laws to current policies and procedures, drafting templates for HR documents and working with other members of the department to oversee the hiring and onboarding process for company employees. They assist the HR manager with recruitment, which requires identifying future hiring needs, sourcing candidates through databases and social media, onboarding the new employees, creating job descriptions, and keeping the process organized. The HR Generalist would also maintain employee records, assist with payroll processing, and provide administrative support to all employees. Job Responsibilities:
- Create and organize job descriptions.
- Maintain recruiting databases.
- Assess applicants’ knowledge, skills, and experience to best suit various open positions.
- Create onboarding plans and educate newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations.
- Onboard new employees.
- Maintain physical and digital files for employees and their documents, benefits, and attendance records.
- Answer employee questions regarding personnel policies, procedures, and benefits; research and disseminate topical or timely information to managers and/or employees on personnel issues.
- Review PTO requests.
- Manage the employee benefits process; ensure employee premiums are accurately added to the HR/Payroll platform and invoices are reconciled.
- Generate official internal documents and company policies and procedures.
- Maintain professional conduct with colleagues and customers.
- Collaborate with outside vendors, upper management, and employees to maintain Tranco company standards conscripted by the Director of HR.
- Coordinate and participate in completion of terminations and exit interviews.
- Perform other related duties as required or as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Educational
- 2 – 4 years of Human Resources experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
- Experience with Indeed, LinkedIn, Paycom, and Wonderlic (Preferred).
- Exposure to Labor Law, Leave Management, Benefits Administration, and employment equity regulations (Preferred).
Technical
- Microsoft Office computer skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
