Job Summary:
The HR Generalist at Pepper Palace plays a pivotal role in managing and supporting the organization's human resources functions. This position is responsible for a variety of HR tasks, including employee relations and compliance ensuring that the company’s HR operations run smoothly and effectively.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Employee Relations & Support:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employees, addressing any concerns, questions, or feedback.
- Cultivate a positive work environment and employee morale.
- Compliance & Policy Management:
- Ensure all HR activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Assist in the revision and implementation of HR policies and procedures, offering guidance on employment regulations to management.
Performance Management:
- Provide support in managing performance-related issues.
- HRIS Management:
- Oversee onboarding, hiring, and terminations within the HRIS.
- Ensure accurate and timely entry, update, and maintenance of employee data in the HRIS.
Record Keeping:
- Maintain up-to-date employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Manage HR databases and tools to ensure data integrity.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments to align HR practices with company goals and culture.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- SHRM or similar certification required.
- 5 – 7 years previous experience in an HR role.
- Proficiency in HR systems and software, particularly HRIS platforms.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal employment regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Travel Requirements:
- 0 – 5% of the time or as business requires.
