The human resource generalist is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the Human Resources function.
- Maintains employee records in accordance with applicable law.
- Periodically reviews and makes recommendations to executive management for improvement of the hospital’s policies, procedures, and practices on personnel matters.
- Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures compliance.
- Maintains responsibility for compliance with federal and state legislation pertaining to all personnel matters.
- Communicates changes in personnel policies and procedures and ensures proper compliance is followed.
- Assists executive management in the review, preparation, and administration of fair wage and salary awards.
- Coordinates or conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separation.
- Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, or as directed by the administrator, on personnel matters.
- Works directly with department directors to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters.
- Recommends, evaluates, and participates in staff development for the agency.
- Develops and maintains a human resource system that meets agency personnel information needs.

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position regularly requires long hours and weekend work.
