Position Summary
As a Human Resources Generalist at The Barrington of Carmel, you will be responsible for supporting the HR function in areas such as recruitment, employee relations, payroll administration, performance management, and compliance. You will work closely with department heads and employees to foster a positive work environment and ensure that our Human Resources policies and practices align with the values and mission of our community.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment and Onboarding:
Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and create effective recruitment strategies.
- Conduct interviews, coordinate candidate assessments, and facilitate the onboarding process for new hires.
Employee Relations:
- Address employee inquiries and concerns, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Assist in resolving conflicts and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Payroll Administration:
- Process and manage payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Address payroll-related inquiries and collaborate with supervisors to resolve any discrepancies.
Performance Management:
- Support the performance review process by working with managers to set goals and track employee performance.
- Provide guidance on performance improvement plans and recognition programs.
Compliance:
- Stay informed about relevant employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in Human Resources roles, with a focus on recruitment and employee relations preferred.
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
