We are seeking a motivated and experienced HR Generalist to join our team and support our HRBP in our VA, MD and DC markets in various Human Resources functions. Job Description: As an HR Generalist, you will play a key role in supporting our Sr. HRBP in a wide range of HR activities, with a focus on talent acquisition, onboarding, and employee engagement. You will work closely with hiring managers, administer the recruitment life cycle process, and help ensure a seamless experience for new hires and support day-to-day HR operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition: Mange the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, providing offer letters, and conducting new hire orientation. Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and attract top talent. Onboard new employees to our HR systems for payroll, time and attendance, and benefits, utilizing Paychex Flex. Continuously enhance recruiting processes to ensure an outstanding applicant experience.
Employee Relations: Partner with the Sr. HRBP for employee inquiries and concerns. Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. Help resolve workplace conflicts and conduct investigations as needed.
Performance Management: Support the performance management process by coordinating performance evaluations, providing training on performance management tools, and assisting managers with performance improvement plans.
HR Administration: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS system. Prepare and process HR-related documentation, including new hire paperwork, promotions, transfers, and terminations. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Employee Engagement: Collaborate with the Sr. HRBP to develop and implement employee engagement initiatives, including recognition programs, team-building activities, and employee surveys. Actively promote a positive work culture and contribute to employee morale and satisfaction.
Training and Development: Assist in the development and delivery of training programs for employees and managers on various HR topics, including diversity and inclusion, harassment prevention, and performance management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
- At least 2-4 years proven experience in HR functions, including talent acquisition and employee relations.
- Familiarity with ATS systems and HRIS databases.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Strong time management skills to effectively manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Robust verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members, managers, and stakeholders.
- Ability to assess situations, identify solutions, and implement effective resolutions.
Compensation & Structure:
- Base Compensation: $75K-80K + bonus opportunity
- 401k Program: Participation in 401k plan with company match

- Location: Northern Virginia area – Hybrid position
- Travel: Local travel to Dental office locations in VA, MD & DC areas
