Job Description
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager and working closely with the Department Managers and various engineering teams, the Human Resources Generalist will assist the Human Resource Manager with complex and specialized Human Resources tasks.
NOTE: This role is subject to the incumbent’s ability to hold and maintain an NRC Q-clearance, as well as their ongoing ability to maintain nuclear site access.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assists with updating, maintaining, and creating Company policies and procedures.
- Assists with updating, maintaining, and creating Company position descriptions.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Maintains employee records, ensuring completion and accuracy of details such as employee contact information, job title, pay rates, organizational structure, and other key details.
- Maintains accurate records of active job openings and received applications; manages job postings.
- Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
- Performs administrative and recordkeeping tasks related to staffing changes, which may include resignations, terminations, and extended leaves of absence.
- Assists with the administration of employee benefits, which may include collecting and submitting employee information and notice of change in status to health, dental, life, disability, and other insurance carriers or insurance brokers.
- Completes or assists with completion of payroll.
- Conducts or assists with record audits and mandatory reports, which may include I-9 audits, EEO-1 filings, payroll audits, and other compliance reviews.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Environmental Health and Safety (EHS):
- Immediately report any safety or environmental incidents, unsafe acts, or conditions, and near misses to the Company’s management.
- Adhere to the Company’s EHS policies, procedures and regulatory requirements relating to the work being undertaken to ensure own safety and that of others in the workplace.
- Contribute to the GLE safety culture by proactively applying EHS principles and best practices to the planning, execution, and conclusion of all activities.
Qualifications, Education, and Experience:
- Active DOE/NRC Q-clearance or equivalent or ability to obtain after employment starts.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business.
- 3-5 years in a position equivalent to a Human Resources Generalist, Human Resources Business Partner, or with Human Resources responsibilities (recruiting, employee management, conflict resolution, policy & procedure, etc.).

- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
