Job description

Role and Responsibilities

· Coordinate and conduct interviews with potential candidates for open positions within the organization.

· Supports all internal and external HR related inquires or requests (i.e., wage verification, withholding orders, etc.)

· Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records and documentation including physical and digital employee records.

· Assist with annual Open Enrollment process, training, and enrollment of new employees (preparing materials, setting up room for training, picking up meals, supplies etc.).

· Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and local employment laws and Company policies (completion of I-9 forms, etc.).

· Participate in the review and revision of policy manuals (handbooks, etc.) and/or policies/procedures.

· Enter new hire and change information into HRIS systems. Timely completes new hire paperwork (I-9, required new hire and change forms and documentation).

· Is familiar or becomes familiar with and complies with company policies and procedures, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), and Affirmative Action Compliance Program (AACP) regulations.

· Will assist with preparation for audits.

· Enters and/or approves time entries in the HRIS timekeeping system for payroll submittal.

· Is responsible for the benefit administration including medical, dental, life, 401(k), STD/LTD and FMLA.

· Coordinate effective onboarding for new hires.

· Plans and conducts new hire orientation to foster engagement toward company goals and to ensure a smooth transition. Will perform training as required.

· Partners with employees and managers to effectively manage conflict to a successful resolution.

· All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

· Associate degree in HR or a related field (Bachelor’s degree is preferred)

· 3+ years’ experience in an HR support role or related field

· Strong verbal & written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.

· Must possess high proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and various HRIS, payroll and benefits systems experience a plus.

· Must possess business savvy and change agent skills and good organizational skills.

· Positive, professional attitude with a strong work ethic and ability to self-motivate.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Normally working in the office but will occasionally be on the plant floor. Will at times be exposed to heat, cold, inclement weather, noise, vibration, welding sparks, grease, oil, and diesel fuel. Must be able to wear appropriate PPE.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $49,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
