ROLE SUMMARY
The Human Resources Generalist will work in close partnership with the HR Business Partner, to ensure programs and processes delivered are aligned with Business Strategies and HR Priorities. This includes supporting new programs aligned with the Business and HR Strategies in a manner effective for the business. The HR Generalist will assist in advising and coaching leaders, providing guidance on HR related matters associated with site colleagues and HR processes (e.g., staffing, talent/performance management, employee/labor relations, benefits/compensation programs, and diversity/equity/inclusion programs). Through a combination of HR expertise and understanding of company objectives, the HR Generalist will effectively support the drive to resolve HR issues within a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
The HR Generalist must be passionate about achieving organizational goals through collaboration with leadership and support in the execution of strategies. The HR Generalist will mitigate company risks by ensuring that all company practices are compliant with government regulations. The HR Generalist will support the broader HR strategy with a focus on customer service and assure alignment with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., vendors, legal, HR, Payroll, Tax, Finance). The Human Resources Generalist will demonstrate the right behaviors that support the company's PRECISE values.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote a positive work culture while ensuring that company policies/collective bargaining agreements are administered fairly and consistently.
- Support the administration of HR policies and procedures, current state, local and federal regulations, and corporate objectives while providing guidance and education to employees and managers.
- Partners with HR Business Partners and People leaders to investigate and resolve employee/labor relations issues and performance matters as they relate to policies/procedures.
- Help develop messages, events, presentations, and other communication vehicles to drive employee engagement around Kindeva's strategic vision.
- Help build capabilities of key stakeholders to be able to address employee/labor relations issues and ensure a positive and inclusive work environment and experience for all colleagues.
- Collaborate with HR leadership to develop and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks to ensure compliance and alignment with company values.
- Support the performance management process, and work with managers to improve employee performance.
- Stay up to date with labor laws and regulations, ensuring the organization's practices are in compliance with relevant legal requirements.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders in the administration of the collective bargaining agreement.
- Act as a vital source of information, answering questions from employees regarding HR matters. Educate employees and enforce company policies and procedures.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in business, Human Resources, or related field.
- 3+ years of HR Generalist experience.
- 1+ years of Labor/Employee Relations experience.
- Display strong analytical skills, including the ability to gather information, conduct analyses, present findings, and create solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in particular the ability to analyze and interpret complex HR policies and law and translate them clearly to staff at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated business knowledge and acumen, with a strong desire to further understand the business and keep learning.
- Prepares and analyzes reports that are necessary to carry out the functions of the department and company. Prepares periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested.
- Ability to work with ambiguity and must conduct assigned tasks with professionalism, respect, and high moral.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive work-related information.
- Complete work accurately with strong attention to details
- Ability to develop rapport with a variety of personalities, maintain a calm and professional demeanor during stressful situations, and effectively defuse escalated personnel situations.
- Ability to effectively prioritize a fast-paced and varied workload, effectively manage a variety of concurrent and shifting priorities.
- Strong computer skills, including solid skill in the Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with a variety of HR software programs.
