We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The Human Resources Generalist will play a key role in representing our HR department. Responsibilities
- Preparation and processing of semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll through Paylocity
- Submit, oversee, and coordinate the resolution of payroll tax cases with Paylocity
- Create payroll entries in Excel for entry into Sage 100
- Detail-oriented and accurate, with strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, confident in interacting with external and internal partners in a knowledgeable and helpful manner
- Assist with the reconciliation of all payroll and general ledger accounts associated with payroll activities
- Review payroll tax returns prepared by Paylocity for Federal, State, and local payroll taxes
- Assist with annual workers’ compensation insurance audit
- Assist HR Manager in:
- Establishing and or updating HR Policies and Procedures
- The talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand the skills and competencies required for openings
- Analyzing trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent
- Identifying opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate HR processes
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Experience
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
- Experience with payroll processing, Paylocity preferred
- Payroll tax compliance and reporting experience with a multi-jurisdictional company is preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products with the ability to run reports and queries.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, policies, and procedures
- Knowledge of employment labor laws and regulations
