Job description

HIS Innovations Group, a leader in the semiconductor manufacturing industry, invites applications for the position of Human Resources Specialist. This vital role supports the HR department in various capacities, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and now, with an expanded focus on Leave of Absence (LOA) management and Benefits administration. The successful candidate will be instrumental in fostering a supportive and productive workplace environment that aligns with our company values and business objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and the onboarding of new hires.
  • Provide support in employee relations, including handling inquiries, resolving conflicts, and facilitating communication between staff and management.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
  • Oversee the Leave of Absence (LOA) processes, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, and coordinating with employees and managers to facilitate smooth leave transitions.
  • Conduct benefits orientation and education sessions for employees, ensuring they are informed and can maximize the benefits available to them.
  • Participate in the performance management process, assisting with the coordination of performance appraisals and the implementation of development plans.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential HR records and reports, including employee files, benefits enrollment, and LOA documentation.
  • Support the HR team in developing and delivering training programs aimed at enhancing employee skills and organizational effectiveness.
  • Act as a liaison between employees and insurance providers, resolving benefits-related issues and ensuring the effective utilization of plans.

Skills Integral to the Job:

  • Strong understanding of HR principles, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, LOA management, and benefits administration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • High level of discretion and ethical approach to HR, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Organizational and multitasking abilities, with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to handle the evolving needs of the organization and its employees.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in an HR role, with a focus on recruitment, employee relations, and/or benefits administration.
  • Experience in managing Leaves of Absence (LOA) and administering benefits programs is highly desirable.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Primarily office-based with the need for occasional travel to attend training, meetings, and company events.
  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
