What will I Do?
The Accounting Generalist is an individual who demonstrates strong initiative, integrity, and accountability. They are involved in the development and success of Megaplex Theatres and ensures financial goals are met. They work as a member of the accounting team to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of cash and completes other responsibilities as assigned. The Accounting Generalist champions the company's Mission and Vision and models the company Values.
The position will:
- Protect the moral, legal, and financial assets and wellbeing of the company
- Continually teach associates new and better ways of doing business with an emphasis on stewardship, accountability, and GUEST SERVICE
- Research discrepancies between the bank account and accounting software
- Create and maintain the accounts receivable for various aspects of the company
- Collaborate with other members of the accounting team
- Reconcile bank statements with accounting records.
- Operate with integrity. Demand the highest ethical standards from self and others.
- Set an example of outstanding attendance, positive attitude, and professionalism, including an orderly and safe work environment.

- This is a full-time hourly role
What are the requirements of the Job?

- 2+ years related experience in general accounting preferred
- Great communication and organization skills, with excellent attention to detail
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Must have the ability to complete assignments by deadlines in an accurate and timely manner
- Must have the ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background and drug screening
- Must be able to communicate in English
- This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally.
- Must be able to observe, inspect, estimate, and assess.
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods
- Must be able to lift 20 lbs.
