This role will be responsible for various HR functions including addressing employee relations issues, benefits, compliance, access permissions, and leading projects for process improvement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Respond to inquiries, questions, and requests from managers and employees on matters related to Benefits, Payroll, HR processes, recruiting, and other HR-related topics.
- Handle complaints/concerns, ensuring timely and reasonable handling, properly documenting, and escalating all concerns to HR Leadership as necessary.
- Ensure adherence to ACA compliance for temporary employees by overseeing minimum essential coverage plans and maintaining ACA compliance standards.
- Help to develop, recommend, and implement policies and procedures, including maintaining the employee handbook.
- Complete employment verifications and unemployment claims.
- Oversee COBRA, wellness programs, and support leave for FMLA/ADA administration.
- Assist benefits specialist in preparing annual notices (ERISA, 5500), open enrollment, and conducting semi-annual benefits audits.
- Provide technical support to employees and new hires, managing HRIS user access permissions, personalization, and system operations.
- Ensure HR services are in line with organizational goals and are in compliance with professional standards, state and federal regulatory requirements and laws.
- Support the onboarding of new employees through the company's multiple HRIS as well as order and clear drug tests, background checks, and proper compliance of all new hire's documents such as I-9 documents and E-Verify.
- Create and maintain record of all job description for new hires to include new and exciting job title positions.
OTHER PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
- Provide support in recruitment and onboarding to other CDR divisions during high volume and Emergency periods.
- Supports full cycle recruitment process and activities including gathering specifications for positions and new/updating of job descriptions, providing sources, and/or directly sourcing potential candidates, direction, and final decision-making process in collaboration with hiring managers.
- Travel as required and as it relates to above duties or as directed by supervisor.
- Other duties that may arise from time-to-time and/or are commensurate with the title and position.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or at least 3 years of specific experience and/or training related to the essential functions of the job.
- Applied Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal statutes and guidelines with respect to HR field.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure during high volumes and work with different personalities.
- Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, with personal effectiveness and credibility.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and in compliance with HIPAA/various confidentiality requirements with respect to employee information.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and planning skills.
- Proficiency with using Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook, etc. is required.
- Strong phone presence, comfortable speaking with all personalities and level of management and staff.
- HRIS/ATS such as Workforce now/ADP, Workable, Deltek, Indeed experience preferred.
- Requires ability to travel within the area assigned and within US up to 25% of the time.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification a plus
