Human Resources Generalist

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Generalist to join our team at Florida Window and Door. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of Human Resources functions and a passion for supporting employees in a dynamic work environment. This role will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes and maintaining compliance with employment laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Organize and facilitate open enrollment periods for employee benefits programs.
• Process changes to employee benefits, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
• Conduct training sessions for employees on benefits programs and options.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries from employees and management.
• Provide timely and accurate information and assistance on HR policies, procedures, and programs.
• Collaborate with the payroll department to ensure accurate and efficient processing of payroll.
• Assist employees with payroll-related inquiries and issues.
• Develop internal communications regarding status changes, benefits updates, or company policies.
• Distribute communications through appropriate channels to ensure all employees are informed.
• Create onboarding plans and educating newly hjired employees on HR policies, inernal procedures and regulations.
• Generating official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary slips and warning letters.
• Offer guidance and support to employees and management on personnel policies and procedures.
• Address questions or concerns regarding HR policies and ensure consistency in their application.
• Stay informed about federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Ensure company policies and practices remain compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
• Maintain physical and digital files for employees and their documents, benefits, and attendance records.
• Creating employee engagement plans, getting necessary budget approval and initiating activities.
• Conduct exit interviews and recommend corrective action if necessary.

Qualifications:

• 10 years of experience is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role, preferably in the home improvement or construction industry.
• Knowledge of administrative tasks and responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
• Familiarity with payroll processing systems and HRIS software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong empathy and interpersonal skills.
• Problem solving and resourceful thinking.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Ability to handle difficult conversations and communicate information to internal stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
• HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
