Job Description
A hybrid-remote work schedule will be available after completion of the on-site training period. The hybrid-remote work schedule requires employees to work on-site two days per week.
General Summary of Duties:
Coordinates and assists in all human resource related functions as needed to ensure compliance with all federal and state employment law. Collaborates with Human Resources leadership in the development of a variety of Human Resource reports, statistics, and department policies and procedures.
Essential Functions and Other Responsibilities
1. Ensures prompt and courteous service is provided to all internal and external members/customers.
2. Conducts work in a safe and healthful manner.
3. Supports the effort of all staff in the maintenance of an atmosphere of service excellence.
4. Maintains current knowledge of technology necessary to function in position; continuing education as needed. Networks with other financial institutions to stay abreast of current trends.
5. Monitors the administration building entrance, greets visitors, and directs visitors accordingly.
6. Ensures compliance with laws and regulations affecting credit union; including but not limited to, OSHA, HIPPA, EEOC, and FMLA.
7. Maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of credit union policies/procedures that are necessary for performing job duties, including but not limited to Negotiable Instrument Reference & Guidelines, BSA, and OFAC.
8. Keeps Vice President, Human Resources informed of any opportunities, best practices, and challenges. Documents HR processes, procedures, workflows; develops and streamlines processes based on best practices.
9. Establishes and maintains good working relationships with outside vendor contacts.
10. Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including, but not limited to, HR compliance, productivity, engagement, recognition, and training and development.
11. Assist with employee relations, collaborating with the Management Team and VP, Human Resources in addressing performance management needs.
12. Assists Management and VP, Human Resources with determining learning needs, define the measurable outcomes, and collaborate to help determine prioritization.
13. Monitors and evaluates trainee's progress and development by implementing an evaluation and proficiency assessment process that is consistent with company developmental and feedback standards.
14. Complete special Human Resources projects by defining project objectives; setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information; communicating project status and issues.
15. Responding to sensitive inquiries and questions from employees regarding the company’s personnel policies, sensitive issues or the available benefits programs; and managing the company’s response (and the related confidentiality) to these sensitive employee relations issues; forwarding the issues to the appropriate management representative for follow up.
16. Responds to employment verification requests and other inquiries as needed.
17. Processes selection and enrollment for all employee benefits and insurances such as health & dental, disability, life, 401(k) benefits, Aflac, flexible spending accounts, and COBRA; coordinates annual open enrollment periods accordingly. Distributes plan documents, application and enrollment forms, and tracks the enrollment and/or declination decisions for each employee benefit program offered. Process monthly invoices for health care, disability, and life insurance benefits. Processes employee claims for disability, worker’s compensation, life insurance, and unemployment.
18. Maintains Human Resource Information System (HRIS) information including payroll, benefits, paid time off and others accurately, timely and consistently. Provides HRIS training for appropriate management staff.
19. Maintains Human Resource records according to record preservation policy and ensures records are kept in secure, locked files. Maintains active and terminated employee personnel files according to policy.
20. Organize employee relation events such as social events, donation assistance campaigns, Open Enrollment, Employee meetings, service award activities, etc. Performs duties to the delivery of get-well and sympathy as outlined in credit union policies.
21. Performs all duties related to recruitment activities, as assigned by the VP, including sourcing and screening applicants, scheduling interviews, conducting interviews, completing pre-employment processes.
22. Coordinate and conduct new hire orientation including collaborating with the Management Team on training schedules, documentation and other activities.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: A four year college degree in Human Resources or a relevant field.
Experience: Three to five years of human resource work experience.
Licenses/Certifications: PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
