Formed in August 2018, InfraStripe is an entrepreneurial company, focused on creating a national specialty services contractor for the Construction Infrastructure Sector with an emphasis on pavement surface striping along with safety traffic controls services in major markets across North America that are proven financial performers with exceptional safety, operations, equipment and quality service.

The company aspires to become the leading national infrastructure specialty contractor providing Highway, Runway & Parking Lot striping services along with adjacent services supporting traffic control, barricades, resurfacing and signage activities.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Human Resources Director will report directly to the CEO.

The Human Resources Director furnishes leadership, vision and overall management of the systems and programs required to develop, train, and maintain InfraStripe most important resource, the employees of the company. This individual makes available to senior management the special skills and abilities in the human resource field required to maintain the company's core values, accomplish the company's mission statement, make InfraStripe the "Employer of Choice". The goal is to provide the highest-skilled employees for all our business departments and support a culture of collaboration between each department and all employees.

Our growing firm employs approximately 480+ individuals, and the successful candidate will be responsible for managing every aspect of their employment needs. Additional responsibilities include overseeing the hiring process and ensuring all professionals, from executives on down, are in compliance with federal, state, and in-house regulatory requirements and procedures.

A true business partner, the Human Resources Director will serve as internal counsel on business unit and project level union/nonunion workforce decisions. This role will help guide Company strategy for craft team members and be the point person responsible for ongoing labor relations oversight. The Human Resource Director will be charged with establishing strong relationships with key partners, including unions, trade associations, academic institutions, and other stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Proactively develop organization human resource strategies that institute Human Resources objectives in line with organizational business objectives.
  • Implements Human Resources strategies by establishing and managing functional accountabilities, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance, and labor relations.
  • Serves as the point of contact for employment relations and communication with labor
  • Reports on Human Resources dashboard of metrics, indicators on labor retention and leading indicators for the company.
  • Communicates changes in the organization's personnel policies and procedures and ensures that proper compliance is followed.
  • Develop organization's plans for a variety of HR matters such as compensation, benefits, health & welfare.
  • Designing and implementing human resource training programs
  • Assist executive management in the annual review, preparation and administration of organization's wage and salary program.
  • Works directly with general managers and department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters.
  • Develops and maintain a human resource information system that meets the organization's personnel information needs.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each previously stated duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and ability necessary to succeed as a Human Resource Director.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or related field, or equivalent business experience.
  • PHR or SHRM certification a plus
  • 10+ years of experience as a human resource professional in the construction industry
  • High level of personal integrity, ethics, initiative, and strong interpersonal
  • Experience in benefit administration, compensation, discipline, employee and labor relations, training.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and
  • Experience in partnering with an executive
  • Possession of key competencies, including conflict management, business negotiation, organization, and decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and planning
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office
  • Experience with mergers/acquisitions
  • Experience working in a union environment. CBA negotiation experience is preferred.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Corporate headquarters are based in Charlotte, North Carolina, extensive travel is required.
