The People Support Coordinator performs a variety of Human Resources support duties, including but not limited to employment, enrollment, record retention, file maintenance, change of status, separations and other information as assigned. Responsible for providing administrative support for guests, team members, branches, and vendors. Performs general office support functions and assists area personnel as necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Establishes and maintains professional interpersonal relationships with team members, visitors, callers and other guests. Receives and screens visitors and telephone calls. Assists with questions courteously and promptly.
- Accessible to all department team members and internal partners, providing policy clarification, answering routine HR-related inquiries, and referring complex matters to leadership.
- Coordinates new hire onboarding processes, troubleshoots with internal partners as needed, route all new hire paperwork as appropriate, arrange for new hire photography sessions, update systems and records in a timely manner.
- Facilitate company’s offboarding procedures.
- Processes employment verification forms and completes miscellaneous research and reports as requested.
- Ensures that all training rooms/venues, equipment, catering arrangements and other requirements are met to accomplish Human Resources and learning & development related training.
- Assist department leadership with team member event planning as needed.
- Coordinates activities with departments as requested, including the set up and delivery of catering orders.
- Responsible for initiating, transferring and maintaining NMLS licenses in accordance with company policies and procedures, including the annual renewal process.
- Maintain and deliver a comprehensive new team member orientation program, including scheduling, logistics, and facilitating orientation classes, providing new team members with information about policies, procedures, and an exceptional team member experience.
- Coordinates employee gifts, bereavement and other types of arrangements per company guidelines.
- Approves, order and replenish office supplies for Corporate and branches.
- Responsible for processing wage and employment verifications and completes miscellaneous research and audit reports as requested.
- Provides administrative support for company benefit programs and processes, such as retirement plan distribution processing, life event enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries.
- Explains insurance coverage and other benefits and assists in completing enrollment in benefit programs. Modifies and terminates benefits, to ensure accurate and timely processing.
- Promotes and establishes strong, positive and productive working relationship within the organization through commitment to the company’s purpose, mission and core values.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Completion of college level business courses or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
- 2+ years’ experience in the HR field or any similar combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of standard recordkeeping practices with computer proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Experience in HRIS applications preferred.
- Computer proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Internet, and Email.
