Job Summary:The
Human Resources Coordinator supports the needs of the Office of
Human Resources and has diverse responsibilities. Reporting to the AVP of
Human Resources, this position will provide HR customer service and support in a wide range of areas to facilitate the smooth and effective delivery of HR services for the University. The HR Coordinator assists with a wide variety of tasks related to recruitment, adjunct services, benefits administration, special projects and oversees the motor vehicle and driver policy process.

Ensure that open positions are posted on appropriate sites, screen resumes, and coordinate interviews.Ensure compliance with all University hiring policies and procedures.Ensure pre-employment background checks are completed for all new hires, including the review of content for approval of candidates to move forward.Set up employee profiles in the ADP HRIS and Power Campus systems.Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, including completing required paperwork and serving as the backup for orientation sessions.Assist in the completion of the contract administration process for all adjuncts in the university for traditional day, grad, and adult ED.Assists in onboarding for Adjunct new hires, including new hire paperwork & technology login communication.Creates and maintains a backup plan and cross-training on adjunct processes and services.Compile, distribute, and track adjunct contractsProcess adjunct employee information changes in a timely manner.Oversees and monitors compliance related to the motor vehicle process, tracking of training, and compliance with related policies.Maintain confidentiality and security of employee and departmental records, files, and information, including personal data, employee privacy, and matters relating to employee discipline.Maintain employee personnel files and electronic HR records.Manage HR email inquiries and direct them to the appropriate team members.Help organize HR-related events and training sessions.Assist with HR Administrative tasks and fulfill other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.1-3 years of HR experience, preferably in a higher education setting.Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.High level of emotional intelligence and patienceProficiency in HRIS Software and Microsoft Office Suite.HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP) is a plus or must be willing to pass the exam within three years of employment.
