HR Coordinator (Part Time)

Tech Defenders is looking for an HR Coordinator who is responsible for attracting, screening, and selecting qualified candidates to fill various positions within the organization. The ideal candidate should have a keen understanding of the hiring process, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with both candidates and hiring managers. Additionally, the HR Coordinator will provide administrative support to the human resource function, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.
This is a Part Time, non-exempt position, approximately 20 - 29 hours per week. While we are open to exploring candidates’ preferred schedules, we would require the HR Coordinator to be available Monday mornings to host new hire orientations. Pay rate is $22/ hr or greater based on experience
The HR Coordinator will:

Utilize various channels, including job boards, social media, and professional networks, to source and attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates.
Review resumes and applications to shortlist candidates.
Conduct initial phone screens to assess candidate qualifications and cultural fit.
Coordinate in-person interviews.
Partner with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and preferences.
Extend job offers to selected candidates.
Collaborate with the HR team to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires.
Facilitate the necessary paperwork and orientation activities.
Ensure a positive and professional experience for candidates throughout the recruitment process.
Provide regular updates to management on the status of open positions.
Work in HRIS System to onboard new hires
Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
Makes photocopies; scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
Files documents into appropriate employee files.
Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
Provides support for company parties and event planning
Assist with administrative tasks as assigned

Education & Experience:
Some experience in Human Resources or Talent Acquisition preferred
Some college within Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred
Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Proficient with G-Suite or related software.
