Job Summary:
The Human Resource Coordinator aids with and facilitates the human resource processes at all business locations. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance, new hire orientation sessions, and HRIS entry.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain HR files and benefits information for Climate Pros employees in ADP, ensuring all necessary paperwork is collected and complete to ensure compliance with internal policies and external audits.
  • Conduct new employee orientations on-site in Glendale Heights, IL, distributing paperwork and materials needed for new hires and temporary employees.
  • Collect new hire paperwork and create/maintain virtual personnel files in ADP; ensure all required paperwork is completed accurately and filed in a timely manner.
  • Assists with helping new and existing employee receive training for their specific job titles.
  • Work with Fieldgetics system supporting the Payroll Maintenance, PTO, and Clock In/Out functionality.
  • Process employment verifications and assist with unemployment paperwork.
  • Assist with the facilitation of benefits Open Enrollment and responsible for assisting new hires with their benefits enrollment through ADP when they become eligible.
  • Analyze and reconcile benefits statements.
  • Coordinate FMLA, LOA, Worker's Comp and COBRA processing.
  • Coordinate and provide administrative support to HR team and assist with other projects as may be required from time to time.
  • Formulating methods to improve employment policies, processes and practices as well as recommending changes to management.
  • Conducting audits of payroll, benefits, and other HR programs, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Assisting with the performance review and termination processes.
  • Assist Human Resource Manager with Merger and Acquisition payroll and new hire set-up activities.
  • Answer daily questions from employees about basic policies and HR procedures.
  • Interact professionally and communicate well with all employees who are served by the function they coordinate.
  • Assists with Affordable Care Act (ACA) compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Perform other related

Desired Skills, Certifications, and Education:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort level with speaking in front of a small group to deliver new hire orientation sessions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel PowerPoint), experience with ADP Workforce Now experience preferred.
  • High School diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
  • 2-3 years of general HR administration experience is required; experience providing HR support in a mechanical service industry desirable

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk; occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds; noise level is usually moderate. All employees may be required to visit a customer site and/or complete a ride along with a field technician as part of their employment.
