Recruiting & Hiring 25% Places employment ads when and where relevant for open positions.
Performs appropriate screening and forwards relevant resumes to hiring managers. Processes new hires from the time the decision to hire is made, pre-employment testing and through on-boarding Acts as a go-between with temp agencies, maintain time worked records working toward conversion, audits agency billing for inaccuracies. Acts as liaison and point of contact when scheduling interviews, conducting orientation, and ensuring first 90 days new hire check ins are complete Manages full recruitment process to ensure timely hiring of positions and reduce recruitment expenses and meets HR hiring goals Daily/Weekly Functions 25% Remains flexible under pressure.
Able to quickly change priority and retain focus. Proactively and independently completes job duties with minimal supervision Respond to requests for a variety of information from employees and managers and refers questions to HR Manager when appropriate Assist managers in following employee safety protocols related to contagious illnesses and absence management Facilitates training sessions, both on- and off-site, minimizing time away for those attending. Accurately completes all necessary invoice and HR related journal enteries/allocations and provides them to Accounting supervisor timely Develops and updates HR SOP's and ensures precedence documentation is updated Employee and Company Record Management 15% Ensures file retention guidelines are followed and appropriate destruction processes are completed on an annual basis Maintaining accurate employee information in HRIS system regarding employee performance and manager coaching documentation is accessible for all appropriate parties Maintain current and terminated employee files ensuring employee information is available and filed according to HR process accurately and timely Benefits 10% Takes responsibility for the administration and coordination of employee benefit programs, including ensuring new hire employee enrollment is completed Encourages employees to use all tools available to them for enrollment and to ensure healthcare costs are kept as low as possible Accurately answers employee inquiries regarding benefits, qualifying event enrollment options, and eligibility Completes necessary benefit/payroll deduction reconciliation process and ensures premium corrections completed Conducts employee education sessions and updates employee education tools Legal & Compliance 10% Maintains current knowledge and understanding of regulations, compliance, and follows applicable laws related to the organization's HR functions Follows HR best practices and legal guidance while completing HR processes and confirms questionable situations with HR manager.
Reviews & Employee Engagement 10% Consistently reads feedback and follows up with HR Manager on concerns or areas of improvement Initiates and ensures completion of quarterly check-ins by employees and produces individual and aggregate data to HR Manager on employee responses Assists with the completion of employee engagement surveys and other tools to assist with employee relations. Ensures employee anniversaries, milestone anniversary, and associated reviews are completed and acknowledged. Promotes and directs employees and managers to self-service tools Employee Safety 5% Complete necessary manager safety memo distribution and ensures timely completion Maintains all necessary files regarding safety training, new hire safety training, and near miss/employee injury records Refers all necessary near miss and employee injury information to HR Manager for review/action
