Examples of Duties
- Serves as the technical expert for various occupational groups within select departments for recruiting and selection purposes
- Evaluates qualifications and determines if recruitment guidelines are consistent with the role defined
- Reviews and administers the complete hiring process for policy and regulatory compliance including marketing, posting of positions, testing, background and reference checks, review of interview questions, determining appropriate screening and interviewing techniques, and assists with interviews where needed
- Ensures consistency across departments for generic classifications and makes classification specialist aware of potential problems
- Reviews all hiring documentation that supports hiring process, and that all appropriate approvals and documents are consistent with recruitment policy and guidelines
- Recommends testing requirements for management and partners with the testing administrator for results and validates that test are legally defensible and that consistent for all applicants
- Exercises significant judgement in analyzing the knowledge, skills, abilities and educational requirements for positions within their respective departments and classifications
- Has extensive contact with respective hiring managers and is both proactive and assertive in the discussion of appropriate screening tools, and salary options
- Advises management on components of the posting announcement, ensures training and experience is consistent with class specification, that knowledge, skills, and abilities, including any management preferences are clearly identified
- Advises management on issues such as time extensions of job posting, potential candidates and hard to recruit classifications
- Assists with onboarding of new employees & use onboarding software to process employees that include execution of all hiring documents within the system
- Understands employment law ensuring workflow processes do not violate legal mandates and Ensures documentation will comply with all recruitment and audit policy and review requirements Maintains recruitment files and required documentation to support the employment process for all positions relative to their respective department
Minimum Qualifications

Successful completion of Keyboarding, Reading Comprehension, and Basic Excel tests will be required. Candidates selected as qualified will be contacted via email by a Human Resource representative for testing.

Driving is an essential function of this position. To be considered, you must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. If your driver’s license is from another state, you will be required to obtain and show proof of a valid NC driver’s license within 60 days of hire.
