In collaborative partnership with amazing county leadership and HR professionals, the Consultant serves as a Talent Acquisition expert to partner with our Health and Human Services Department, advising on and carrying out strategic recruiting and marketing initiatives to fill critical positions throughout the County.
The day-to-day
Building strong and collaborative relationships and sharing expertise to maximize the team’s contribution
Creating talent pipelines and researching new and innovative opportunities to recruit the best and brightest to join #TeamWake
Collaborating with the team and sharing creative ideas and excitement for new strategies and initiatives
Understanding and integrating relevant compliance requirements and laws to reduce risks for departments and Wake County
Sharing knowledge through training and partnership
Embodying the “Wake is Great” mindset to support the integration of Wake County Government as an employer of choice.

The Basics (Required Education and Experience)
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Public Administration, Business Administration or related field
Three years of experience in Talent Acquisition, position marketing and candidate sourcing
Equivalent education and experience are accepted
Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience)
Experience recruiting, sourcing and creating talent pipelines for government agencies-highly preferred
Experience recruiting for Health and Human Services jobs
Experience with various applicant tracking systems
How Will We Know You're 'The One'?
Ability to effectively market positions to a wide variety of markets including LinkedIn and other social media outlets
Ability to manage high volume recruiting
Ability to actively source candidates to build a strong talent pipeline
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization with tact and diplomacy
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Ability to manage multiple, concurrent recruiting tasks and prioritize tasks based on competing demands
Knowledge of local, state and federal laws and regulations governing general employment standards
Critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and propose recommendations supported by defensible documentation
Demonstrated Applicant Tracking System skills
Proficiency in both Microsoft Word and Excel

Hiring Range: 64,971 – 110,454 - Salary will be based on experience and qualifications
Market Range: 64,971.00 - 110,454.00
