POSITION SUMMA RY
The Human Resource and Training Director is directly responsible for the strategic planning and execution of overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function including talent acquisition and development, employee engagement, legal compliance, leadership coaching, HR policy administration, benefits, performance management, payroll administration, employee learning and growth and reward/recognition.
Requirements
- Creates a positive employee atmosphere through open and honest communication, development of positive relationships with all staff and employees, and promotion of the business mission and Cultural Values.
- Continually reviews and makes recommendations to executive management for improvement of the organization's culture, policies, design, procedures and practices affecting PacMoore team members.
- Develops and implements learning strategies and programs.
- Responsible for mentoring, coaching and developing individuals by providing an environment conducive to learning, sharing new ideas, and increasing knowledge company-wide.
- Assesses organizational needs to better understand learning needs and opportunities; utilize findings to create action plans and the development of new programs; develop gap-analysis to determine if target audiences and deliverables were achieved
- Collaborates with teams to help enable the organizations existing talent pool to be educated, measured, producing the desired outcomes to ensure the organizations desired position within the company.
- Designs e-learning and classroom courses, career plans, workshops and more
- Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures organization's compliance.
- Maintains responsibility for organization compliance with federal, state and local legislation pertaining to all personnel matters.
- Assists executive management in the annual review, preparation and administration of the organization's wage and salary program.
- Coordinates or conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
- Maintains, interprets, and communicates HR policies and other company policies. Keeps employees informed of policies and ensures PacMoore is consistently compliant with federal and state laws. Stays informed of HR legal updates, law changes, and works consults with legal counsel as appropriate.
- Partners with functional leaders to support them as they lead their teams. This includes creation of leadership development strategies, programs, and workshops. May coach leaders one on one or in group settings. May conduct focus groups to periodically assess leadership development needs. May collaboratively develop leadership development content and materials.
- Recommends, evaluates and participates in staff development for the organization.
- Assures that the location is fully staffed and a talent pool is available to quickly fill positions through direct hire methods and use of staffing agencies. Partners with plant and other management to maintain appropriate staffing levels. Also ensures the most effective recruiting and staffing strategy is in place through periodic evaluation and determination of best practice trends, including optimal onboarding processes.
- Develops and maintains a human resource information system that meets the organization's personnel information needs. Structures day to day HR administration which includes general paperwork for onboarding, orientation, employee handbooks, maintaining employee records in HRIS, time/attendance and payroll entry into system, benefits enrollment, vacation calculation, leaves of absence, job descriptions, reporting, and other administrative duties.
- Leads the staff of the human resource department.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and four to 10 years' related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree preferred.

- Knowledge in developing metric driven results and gap analysis to aid in increasing the knowledge base, efficiency, customer service, compliance and job satisfaction for the talent within the organization
- Knowledge of various venues of education and or learning methods; traditional, in-class room, e-learning, Computer Based Training, Train-the trainer, meetings, conference, distance learning, video, Internal Communications and others
- Knowledgeable in assessment, development, methods, and measurements of delivering education/learning
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity in all matters.
- Positive and influential approach that builds credibility and relationships.
- Ability to meet people where they are no matter organizational level or background.
- Solid knowledge of recruiting, staffing, HR responsibilities, federal and state employment laws, policies.
- Excellent communication skills including strong verbal and written grammatical skills.
- Critical evaluation ability.
- Able to handle multiple responsibilities with sound judgment and ability to bring work to completion with effective time management and organization.
- Proactively able to make decisions with a sense of urgency.
- PC Proficiency- Word, Excel, Powerpoint, HRMS a strong plus.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to lead formally and informally.
Other Requirements:
- Travel to multiple locations for training, collaboration, project work to Mooresville (Indianapolis area), Hammond, Indiana and Gridley, Illinois, (25%)
- Some schedule flexibility - willing and able to work off-shift hours as needed
- Occasional time in the manufacturing environment which may lead to exposure to noise, dust, chemicals and allergens (protective gear is provided)
