PCSI is looking for a Human Resources Business Partner to support our base operations and maintenance contract on Fort Knox! This is a new contract with a group of employees that are adjusting to PCSI's culture and practices, and the HR Business Partner will focus on change management and creating a strong partnership with this group. The HR Business Partner acts as a trusted advisor for leadership and staff when answering employee inquiries, conducting investigations, and supporting operations of the contract.
We are looking for someone with a high level of self-confidence to apply strong HR knowledge and effect change in a meaningful and productive way. This position reports to the Senior People Manager within a larger People Team company-wide, and works on-base in Fort Knox, KY.

What You'll Do as Human Resources Business Partner:
- Partners with designated unit to align business objectives with employees and management.
- Serve as a consultant/subject matter expert to management on Human Resources-related issues, providing HR guidance and interpretation of policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Manages and resolves employee relations issues; conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations in a timely manner and properly report findings to appropriate member of management. Ensure follow through on related action items resulting from the investigation outcome.
- Champion and effectively communicate information related to all HR initiatives, keeping assigned units abreast of updates and/or changes. Acts as the liaison or administrator for key HR events to include effectively communicating information, conducting employee presentations, distribution of materials, adhering to deadlines.
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line supervisors/managers (i.e. coaching, counseling, development and training, DARs or PIPS).
- Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks an ensuring compliance with local, state, federal laws. Consult with Senior HR Manager or HR Director for guidance.
- Responsible for recruiting and talent management, to include internal promotions and transfers. Partner with Rehab staff for recruitment and placement of AbilityOne hires.
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase retention.
- Oversees adherence to EEOC and affirmative action program and diversity goals set by the organization and responds to any EEOC charges.
- Identifies training needs and partners with the Training and Development Manager as needed. Facilitates training sessions on various HR topics and/or coordinate other training resources.
- Responsible for the Leave Administration to include all approved Leaves and FMLA. Also responsible for oversite of proper payroll coding.
- Assists in the maintenance and revision of classification descriptions and compensation plans.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- PHR or equivalent HR Certification is preferred.
- Minimum five (5) years of prior experience in Human Resources with a working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines, including employee relations, performance management, talent management and development, and HR best practices.
- Experience with HR compliance and reporting to include affirmative action, EEO and VETS reporting, etc.
- Experienced in use of HRIS.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Requires knowledge of PC functions and Software.
- Requires knowledge of Operation of windows applications, MS Word, MS Excel, etc. and related applications.
- In-depth knowledge of ADAAA.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Ability to set and manage priorities.
- Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to resolve complex organizational issues.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to pass criminal, financial, drug, and driving screening.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
- Ability to exchange accurate information in person and over the phone.
- Primarily works indoors.
- Occasional travel may be required, up to 5%.
