Position Summary: The Human Resources Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization’s Human Resources department. The Human Resources Assistant will serve as the interpreter between the Human Resources department and our Spanish speaking employees to assure accurate and compassionate communication.
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date Human Resources files, records, and documentation.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc,; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
- Maintains integrity and confidentiality of Human Resources files and records.
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Provides clerical support to the HR department and CFO.
- Orders and maintains basic office supplies for adminstrative staff.
- Acts as a liasion between the organization and external benefit providers and vendors, with may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
- Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bilingual-Spanish verbal and written communication skills required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Profiicient with or the ability to learn payroll systems, Human Resources information systems (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- 1-3 years Human Resources experience
- Prior related office experience

While performing the duties of this job, the individual will spend a majority of their time in an office environment with prolonged peridos of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Also required: See details of objects that are less than a few feet away, see differences between colors, shades, and brightness. Ability to hear or otherwise recognize the moving environment around you, to maintain safety while in a busy warehouse.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Works in a multitude of environments, primarily (1) a well-lit, ventilated and climate-controlled office. But may be required to occasionally work within (2) a well-lit, ventilated, and climate-controlled room wherein production takes place and frequently presents dusty or otherwise potentially aggravating particulate (3) a typical, well-lit and ventilated warehouse environment wherein product is stored and personnel are constantly moving within both on foot and driving various machinery. Noise levels vary, PPE is supplied by the company.

As a full time employee, you will be eligible for benefits starting on the first of the month following 60 days of employment. Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
