Job Description:
As a Human Resource Assistant at Wiginton Fire Systems, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Human Resources department. This fully in-office position requires excellent customer service skills, multitasking abilities, and attention to detail. The successful candidate will be responsible for data entry tasks and will assist in the implementation of our Human Resource Information System (HRIS), specifically Bamboo HR. You'll also be the friendly voice on the phone and the welcoming face for customers and vendors strolling through our doors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update the BambooHR HRIS system.
- Ensure that Onboarding and Offboarding run smoothly.
- Act as liaison between I.T. and employees as it relates to employee-facing technology, including but not limited to BambooHR, LMS, Greenshades, Moblie Tech, and other Benefit applications.
- Collect data for the safety department, including contractor prequalifications and safety monitoring.
- Assist the Vice President of Human Resources, Director of Safety, and Director of Recruiting on various projects.
- Assist in organizing HR-related events and initiatives.
- Collaborate with the HR team to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Other assigned duties.
Requirements:
- Completion of High School (Associate degree or two years of post-high school education Preferred)
- Human Resources certification and or SHRM certification (preferred)
- Previous experience in a similar HR administrative role.
- Familiarity with HRIS, preferably Bamboo HR (experience with any HRIS is required).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stay focused, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Note: While experience with Bamboo HR is preferred, candidates with experience in other HRIS platforms will be considered. Training will be provided as needed.
- Must be able to pass a 10-Panel Drug Screening.
- Must have a clean background.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
