Windsong Farm Golf Club is hiring a Human Resources Assistant. Windsong Farm is a private golf club located in heart of Independence, MN. This is great opportunity for someone who wants to grow in their HR skills and work for the only 36 hole private club in Minnesota. Reports to: Director of HR & OE
Classification: Exempt
Education and/or Experience
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Accounting, Psychology, or Organizational Development.
- Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning and development, employee relations, training or labor relations preferred.
- 3-5 years of diversified experience in Human Resources positions. Private golf Club and/or hospitality industry experience preferred.

Job Summary (Essential Functions)
This position has total Human Resources responsible for Windsong Farm Golf Club and to the lesser extend Stiklestad Lodge. Responsible for but partner with department heads for recruitment, selection, and orientation of new and returning staff members throughout the Club. Administer time keeping system, payroll, and payroll records to assure that all applicable federal, state, and local wage and hour, and related laws are consistently complied with. Manage the security systems and club keys.
Job Tasks/Duties
Staffing/Recruitment/Onboarding
· Develops and places recruitment ads and social media messages; plans recruitment strategies; screens applicants; processes all employment applications; checks applicant’s references; makes hiring recommendations and coordinates necessary correspondence and forms.
· Prepares internal and external position vacancy advertisements and announcements, including social media ads, the Club’s website, Club industry Internet job boards and college career services offices.
· Conducts preliminary employment interview with applicants.
· Conduct new and rehire orientation for all staff.
· Benchmarks the Club’s employee recruitment and selection processes with others in the industry and explores new strategies as appropriate.
· Ensures that new employees complete necessary employment forms and confirms that they are authorized to work in the United States.
· Provides general property orientation for new & returning employees; assists in the development and implementation of inter-department orientation and training programs.
· Develops forecasts of short- and long-term staffing needs.
· Creates and maintains organizational charts.
· Coordinates transfer, promotion, and layoff strategies within the Club.
Training and Safety
· Develops and maintains a library of training resources specifically designed for each position.
· Assists department heads in planning professional development and training programs for employees.
· Schedules and conducts club-wide employee safety/training meetings.
· Manages the club’s educational on ServSafe, CPR/First Aid, OSHA, Right to Know, and other employee educational requirements.
· Assigns security codes and keys to appropriate employees and deletes old codes and collects keys at termination.
· Maintains eligible driver report for all Club vehicles. Run MVR annually and address issues which may arise.
· Manage the vendors who service first aid supplies and AEDs.
Payroll, Benefits & Compensation
· Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis for Windsong Farm and Stiklestad Lodge. Responsible to collect all all-required forms, enter into iSolve, collect hours worked, ensure authorization on hours are completed and make necessary adjustments in payroll, as needed. Update payroll related spreadsheets after each payroll.
· Reconciles monthly billing statements against payroll deductions.
· Coordinates all employee record-keeping functions in accordance with federal and state requirements.
· Undertakes special projects relating to job description and specification updates, performance discussion, performance improvement plans, wage and salary comparison surveys, long-range staff planning and other Human Resources issues.
Employee Relations
· Organizes employee activities such as the employee appreciate day and other events as appropriate.
· The development and publication of the employees’ newsletter.
· Maintains employee bulletin boards.
Other Task
· Attends management and staff meetings as scheduled.
· Develops Human Resources related reports for the Director of HR & OE or department heads.
· Performs special projects as assigned by the Director of HR & OE.
Licenses and Special Requirements
- PHR (Professional in Human Resources) certification preferred or certificate from an HR Generalist Program.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
