Our company is seeking a dedicated candidate to join our Human Resources team. The Human Resource Administrator role is integral to our organization, responsible for recruitment efforts, new hire orientation and onboarding, employee engagement and active in community events. The successful candidate will build strong relationships with our employees and managers, providing essential support for their human resource needs. Responsibilities
- Responsible for all ad placement, recruiting and review of applications.
- Develop and oversee employment interviews, new hire orientation, onboarding efforts, and employee termination process.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and legal responsibilities.
- Create and modify company policies as needed.
- Administer the time and attendance system.
- Identify, coordinate, and conduct employee training based on evaluation of training needs.
- Assist with administration of employee job descriptions and evaluations.
- Assist employees with HR related questions and concerns, using interpersonal communication skills and conflict resolution techniques..
- Administer of employee engagement board, social media pages, and help coordinate and assist with company social events.
- Administration of employee benefits enrollment.
- Process HR related information such as verifications of employment, unemployment requests and other employee information as needed.
- Answering phones, filing and other office duties as required.
Qualifications
- Associates degree or equivalent experience in Business, Human Resources, or related area.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working in Human Resources.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience using Paychex, Team Engine, and UKG systems preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing or light industrial environment preferred.
- Experience working in a union environment.
- Experience with benefits and compensation, including ACA administration, strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to effectively multi-task with a strong sense of urgency.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
