Job title: AP/ARSpecialist and HR Administrator
Reports to: Controller
Supervisory responsibilities: None.
Summary/objective: Auto Metal Craft (AMC) is looking to hire an AP/ARSpecialist and HR Administrator to assist its Controller with the financial processing of transactions for the Company as well HR related tasks.
Essential functions:
- Oversee Accounts Receivable function, including managing A/R inbox, deposits, cash collections, posting of cash and sending invoices and statements
- Oversee Accounts Payable, including invoice entry, purchase order preparation, cash disbursements, and statement reconciliation
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, including cash, fixed assets, pre-paids, and accruals.
- Reconcile vendor statements on a monthly basis
- Process payroll on a weekly basis and assist with any pay discrepancies or employee questions, review collected payroll information and hours, and maintain accurate payroll records.
- Provide administrative and clerical support as needed to Accounting and Leadership teams
- Review and reconcile company credit card statements
- Support the Accounting staff by classifying, recording, and computing financial data
- Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements
- Coordinate and execute projects and tasks assigned by the Controller and other members of Company’s leadership team
- Assist accounting staff with Human Resources-related tasks relating to hiring, termination, leaves of absence and workers compensation.
Required competency, education, and experience:
- Basic Accounting experience (AP, AR, Payroll, etc.) and/or knowledge
- Basic Human Resources experience and/or knowledge
- Experience in payroll processing (3-5 years)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent organizational, prioritization and problem solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality on sensitive projects
- Quick learner and able to adapt to ever changing needs
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance at all times
Preferred competency, education, and experience:
- Associates Degree or higher in Accounting or related field
- At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing setting
Physical Demands:
- High manual dexterity of hands and fingers
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
- Ability to use a computer for a prolonged amount of time
- Ability to move or lift files and boxes up to 20 pounds
Work environment: Office setting within a manufacturing environment.
Position type and expected hours of work: Full time, Monday-Friday. 40 hours per week.
Travel: None.
