Human Resource Specialist

A local companyis currently seeking a Human Resources Specialist in Bronx NY. We are a dynamic Healthcare organization with multi-specialty medical centers. We currently have 5 medical centers throughout the Bronx, NY area with approximately 100 employees.
The Human Resource Specialist's job will include visiting the locations to proactively interact with employees, work closely with the founders & leadership team, and manage & provide guidance on employee relations, staffing, performance management, and professional development initiatives and trainings.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee, provide, and perform all related HR functions: talent management, training and development. HR compliance and collaborate on workplace safety.
- Promote friendly face of management and leadership
- Counsel leadership team on human resources issues, provide insight and options compliant with new and existing legislation and consistent with the firm's philosophies, policies, and culture.
- Facilitate and manage all trainings, touching on HR issues, employment law and best practices, including but not limited to training on proper documentation of employee issues, resolve workplace related issues.
- Investigate, document, and resolve employee relations issues and employee claims/complaints.
- Oversee workforce planning with Management, assist in recruiting, manage onboarding and termination issues, including new employee orientations, employee terminations, and exit interviews, to determine reasons behind separation. Compile and maintain info to identify trends and patterns in resignations, thereby strengthening workforce and loyalty.
- Support employees in various HR-related areas such as LOA, FMLA and compensation.
- Promote HR programs, incentives, and team building activities to promote an efficient and conflict-free workplace, enhancing job satisfaction.
- Undertake tasks relating to performance management.
- Once familiar with staff, organize quarterly and annual employee performance reviews, organize employee development and advancement plans.
- Maintain employee files and records in both electronic and paper form, manage the organization's employee database and prepare reports.
- Work alongside our Compliance Specialist to ensure compliance with labor regulations
- Work with leadership to maintain organizational guidelines and procedures.
- Recommend new strategies to motivate employees, based on industry trends.
- Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.
Qualifications:
- The successful candidate needs to be willing and physically capable of regular daily travel to our sites; this is not a remote position
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources and at least 4+ years of experience preferred
- Experience in a medical setting preferred
- Expert in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
- Excellent organizational skills; attention to detail
- Ability to quickly learn systems, processes, and procedures
- Strong initiative and solid judgment abilities/skills
- Team player with the ability to establish collaborative working relationships
- Self-motivated and capable of working under tight deadlines
Pay: $58-65,000 commensurate with experience.
