Job Summary
The Human Resources Generalist plays a crucial role in various HR functions, ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes and supporting the organization's workforce. They are responsible for guiding new hires through onboarding, administering employee benefits, managing records, and facilitating recruitment activities. Additionally, they contribute to employee engagement initiatives, compliance efforts, and HR system optimization.

Essential Functions
- Guide new hires and volunteers through the onboarding process, which includes introducing them to company policies, culture, and procedures to help them integrate smoothly into the organization.
- Administer the employee benefit programs, assisting with enrollment and disenrollment processes, and validating ongoing benefit eligibility using our system (Ease).
- Responsible for coordinating for Open Enrollment and tracking employees throughout the enrollment period.
- Retrieve employee records as needed for internal or external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory reporting such as payroll audits and company policies.
- Reconcile monthly between EASE benefit administration database and Paylocity to ensure the systems match, make adjustments as necessary
- Maintain Employee Files: This involves organizing and managing physical and electronic records for each employee, ensuring they are up to date and compliant with relevant regulations. Ensure data entry is accurate, up to date.
- Draft and issue offer letters to new hires and maintain accurate job descriptions for all positions within the organization.
- Manage pre-employment paperwork and coordinating background checks for new hires to ensure suitability for employment.
- Assist with various aspects of the recruitment process, including drafting job postings, creating pre-screening questions, and scheduling interviews.
- Manage the distribution of W-2 forms to employees for tax reporting purposes.
- Distributing live paychecks to employees as needed.
- Respond to requests from external parties for verification of employment for current and former employees.
- Administer employee leave programs, including vacation, sick leave, and other types of time off.
- Conducte analysis to determine appropriate salary ranges for various job positions within the organization.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements by posting job openings in accordance with relevant regulations.
- Organize and facilitate the Employee Engagement Committee meetings to promote a positive work environment and plan events.
- Implement and manage programs to recognize and reward employee achievements and contributions.
- Assist with Coordinating Company-related Events and Functions, and Marketing Events: Helping to organize and coordinate company events, both internal and external, to promote employee engagement and brand awareness.
- Manage Employee Transfers and Changes: Handling employee transfers between departments or locations and managing changes to employee records as needed (Use Personal Action Forms)
- Streamlining HR processes by optimizing and automating tasks within the Human Resources Information System (Paylocity) system.
- Provide necessary employee data to government agencies or other external entities as required by law or requested by management.
- Generate and share reports on employee demographics and key HR metrics requested by leadership.
- Provide guidance to employees on company policies and procedures, and ensure that the employee handbook is regularly updated to reflect any changes.
- Monitor the performance evaluation process and follow up with employees and managers to ensure evaluations are completed on time.
- Create and distribute a schedule of company holidays and reminders to employees.
- Perform other tasks as required by management.
Salary Description
$30-$35 per hour
