Job Description
The HR Generalist provides critical administrative support to Animax Designs Human Resources team. The ideal candidate has superb communication and administrative skills, handles all matters with the utmost confidentiality, and can multi-task while being highly organized.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Generalist would focus on manager relationships, monitor staffing needs, providing reporting needs.
- Act as a compliance advisor, provide workers compensation support, OSHA, labor laws, Leave Administration.
- Familiarity with 401k, Benefits Enrollment, WC Audit processes
- Maintains employee files, streamlining processes when applicable.
- Conduct employee onboarding and terminations.
- Employee Relations consisting of:
- Conducting investigations in compliance with outlined progressive discipline standards
- Disciplinary procedures and performance reviews as needed
- Exit Interviews
- HRIS analytics and assistance with identifying appropriate tools to comply with HRIQ needs as well as integration with Finance platforms, as identified
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date Human Resource files, records, and documentation.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of Human Resource files and records.
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Provides clerical support to the HR department.
- May assist with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors
- Assists with recruiting and onboarding efforts, including but not limited to phone screenings, scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, and new hire orientation.
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and other celebrations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements (Skills/Qualifications/Education):
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.
3 years of professional experience in an office setting preferred
Experience in Human Resources is a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Ability to learn new software systems and technology quickly.
Possess strong organization skills and ability to complete multiple tasks and high volume of work on deadline.
Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
Maintain strict confidentiality standards.
Good EQ (Emotional Intelligence) and self-awareness with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals and work in a cooperative manner.
Possess strong written and verbal communications skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to edit and proofread.
Effectively organize and manage a challenging workload, including prioritizing, and maintaining professionalism in stressful situations.
Excellent time management, organizational, and follow-through skills.
Ability to respond quickly and accurately to requests for data.
Regular and predictable attendance.
Physical Requirements/Environment:
Ability to frequently lift objects weighing up to 10 pounds, sit for long periods of time, occasionally stoop, kneel or crouch, and use hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects.
Work environment usually takes place in clean, pleasant, and comfortable office setting. Some exposure to warehouse/shop environment.
