Description

Cimarron is urgently looking to add a Human Resource Generalist to join our Oklahoma team!

Position Overview:

The HR Generalist will support the Human Resources department in the day-to-day activities in Norman OK! Your days will be spent developing, deploying and continuously improving a wide variety of Human Resources initiatives and programs throughout the workforce to meet and exceed business objectives, while driving functional excellence. Specific responsibilities include talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation, training, organizational effectiveness and development and execution of HR programs and initiatives that align with short and long-term business objectives.

Required Experience

 

  • 5+ Years of Human Resource Generalist experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Manage onboarding, offboarding and performance reviews of 200 + employees.
  • Strong employee relations skills.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Improves manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems, evaluating potential solutions, implementing selected solutions and coaching and counseling of managers and employees.
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Completes special projects by clarifying project objective, setting timetables and schedules, conducting research, developing and organizing information and fulfilling transactions.
  • Engage or lead the recruitment process in compliance with federal and state regulations and maintain recruiting scorecard.
  • Serves as the liaison for client group in the management of the benefits process including wellness initiatives.
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, leaves of absence, short-term and long-term disability claims, and policy development for client group.
  • Assist in the monitoring, training and administration of client group to ensure EEO regulations are met.
  • Analyzes and recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continuously improve the efficiency of HR processes and provided services.
  • Lead as appropriate in the investigation and drive resolution of ongoing employee relations issues
  • Manages a variety of highly confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner; communicates protected information only as needed and appropriate.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations.
  • Partners with Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Department to promote and maintain a Zero Incident Safety Culture through diligence in accident prevention, monthly audits, promoting safety initiatives, investigations and rule enforcement.
  • Performs other duties as required and assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution or applicable experience
  • 5+ years of applicable experience in an HR position
  • Knowledge of US labor laws in HR related subject matter including recruitment and selection, workers compensation, disability management, compensation, benefits and data privacy.
  • Ability to use analytical decision making.
  • Solid understanding of financial metrics
  • Strong analytical skills for completing complex problem solving and analysis of business processes and systems.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) including clear and comprehensible assistance to customers and other team members with detailed process documentation.
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple, often complex, tasks in order to ensure continued effectiveness in meeting the company’s recordkeeping, reporting and compliance needs.
  • Dedication to uncompromising ethical behaviors, a high degree of honesty and professional integrity
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship and teamwork skills
  • Proactive in identifying solutions and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements

 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
