Overview
Human Resources Generalist administers Human Resources policies and procedures. Collects and maintains HR data related to compensation, benefits, training, recruitment, etc. to help make recommendations for improvement. Provides support for all Human Resources related activities by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities
- Handles all aspects of FMLA reporting, recording and employee communication.
- Responsible for recruiting all personnel.
- Coordinate open enrollments, changes, and training for employee benefits programs.
- Respond to Human Resources-related inquiries in regards to benefits and recruiting.
- Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies.
- Collaborate with the Human Resources team to develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Maintain employee personnel records.
- Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, including staffing from temporary agencies;
- Maintains the company’s employee directory;
- Maintain employee personnel records.
- Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, ability to work on–site.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others, ability to deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to interchange with others in the department.
Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration;
- Effective oral and written communication skills;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- An Associates degree in the Human Resources and Organizational Development discipline;
- 3-5 years of Human Resources generalist experience required in a manufacturing environment.
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.
