We now have an opportunity for an HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join and add value to our business in Massachusetts.
As an HRBP, you will play a pivotal role in managing the talent-related agenda for two of our key divisions - Environmental Risk Sciences and Cannabis Testing Services. Reporting directly to the Vice-President of North America Operations and the President, respectively, you will be an integral part of the Leadership Team. This position is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with Laboratory Directors, drive change management projects, and contribute to the organization's overall success.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic:
- Lead the Division's recruitment and selection strategy, providing recruiting strategies for key talent needed for successful growth.
- Develop a coherent HR and people strategy, prioritizing processes for maximum benefit.
- Influence the strategic agenda by building key relationships within the organization.
- Act as a member of the wider Smithers global HR Management Team.
Partnership:
- Build strong relationships across the business, working in a partnership approach.
- Lead and train internal stakeholders on staffing excellence.
- Act as a single point of contact for employees and managers in the business unit.
- Proactively promote HR interventions that contribute to the bottom line.
- Responsibility for one HR Generalist and one HR Administrator.
HR Policy and Practice:
- Support the delivery of HR processes at the client's side.
- Manage complex HR projects cross-functionally.
- Identify gaps and implement changes necessary to cover risks.
- Act as the performance improvement driver, provoking positive changes in people management.
- Design and maintain organization vitality charts as the performance of the business unit improves.
Education and Experience:
- 5 years of experience preferred as an HR Manager or HR Business Partner with multi-location exposure.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
- HR certification preferred (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP).
- Experience of using UKG would be beneficial but not essential.
- Ability to travel 10% of the time.
