Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with manual and electronic purchasing
- Knowledge of HACCP and SQF
- Parts purchasing experience in a production environment
- Some knowledge of mechanical parts required for machinery preventative and routine maintenance
- Bottles, PET or HDPE Resin, or plastics experience preferred
Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize stockroom materials, reorder parts as necessary
- Conveyors, chillers, blow molding machinery
- Create and maintain tracking system for stock items
- Handle stockroom merchandise, products and materials safely and securely
- Receive all incoming shipments and disburse to the appropriate department
- Verify shipping materials as against shipping manifests, sign and turn in documentation to accounts payable
- Visually inspect incoming parts and equipment for damage
- Perform physical verification and counting of items to detect shortages
- Prepare purchase orders, solicit bid proposals and review requisitions for goods and services
- Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and availability
- Continuously work to improve cost and minimize downtime
- Negotiate, or renegotiate, and administer contracts with suppliers, vendors and other representative.
Pay:
$ $18.00 per hour
