Reporting to the Head of Information Technology, the IT Business Partner is responsible to define, implement and support technology in this area to drive its efforts to transform the care of rare diseases of genetic obesity. This role will ensure Rhythm can increase collaboration and enable Rhythm’s business success at all levels of the organization.

Opportunity Overview

Responsibilities and Duties
- Work closely with all global regions (North America and International) leadership including Finance, Legal and Human Resource leadership to understand and shape strategic direction for Finance, Accounting, Planning, Human Resources, Legal and ERP as it pertains to using of technology to drive business results and corporate objectives
- Drive alignment of Finance and Human Resources technology with the overall business priorities by delivering strategic “just in time” and rightsized solutions
- Empower data analytics to enable Rhythm to deliver visibility and insights to leadership to assess company performance
- Provide practical guidance to all supported areas of Rhythm on the use of technology including tools, applications and data
- Lead / Project Manage technology-based projects at Rhythm including portfolio analysis, budgeting & planning, tracking and resolving issues, risks and dependencies across projects, programs and functions, executive communications and resource management
- Influence our overall strategy to enable our technology to drive improve results through change management skills
- Implement and support solutions such as HCM, ERP, Financial Planning, Travel, Legal, Compliance and other related components within Finance, Legal and Human Resources
- Manage the day-to-day support model with the vendors to ensure all created systems are functionating properly and working well collectively
- Leverage outside staff and technology substantially to achieve our company goals through outsourced IT service models including support
- Work with the Head of IT to work in other processes / functions, technologies and projects based on the overall company priorities
- Be able to work in a ‘hands on’ capacity as needed and appropriate
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field with 10+ years’ experience working in information or Finance technology functions. MBA a plus
- Extensive implementation experience with a biotech or pharma in the Finance / ERP a plus.
- Ability to work independently and have strong ability to influence outcomes
- Strong vendor management skills; experience and knowledge of available vendors in the IT space
- Strong experience in customer communications to ensure alignment of priorities and activities
- Experience in people management is required in managing vendors/contractors and potentially employees as Rhythm grows. Minimum experience in managing vendors/contractors is 2 years.
- Broad, state-of-the-art technology awareness that can be applied creatively to business problems and opportunities
- Expertise in investigating, negotiating and selecting outside services and computer software
- Ensure a welcoming partner-based environment throughout the company as it pertains to technology areas
