Summary:
Assists the Human Resource Manager with a variety of clerical tasks.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.
-Helps payroll with weekly process.
-Helps with organizational tasks like filing, paperwork, employee files, etc.
-Helps Plan and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
-Helps Keep records of benefit plans participation such as insurance, opt out and pension plan, personnel transactions such as new hires, performance reviews and terminations.
-Helps Administer benefits program such as health, dental, life and short term disability benefits.
Qualifications : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, recruitment, organization development, employee relations, safety, employee engagement, and employee development. Demonstrate the ability to lead and develop HR department staff members. Demonstrate the ability to serve as a knowledgeable resource to the executive management team that provides overall company leadership and direction. Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. General knowledge of various employment laws and practices and experience working with a corporate employment law attorney. Manage the processing of payroll and personnel actions using an automated system, ensuring appropriate internal controls are maintained. Support management decisions.
Document activity related to the employee accurately and completely. Maintain confidentiality regarding personnel related documents. Advise management of any concerns that are affecting the company. Meet compliance standards for the company. (Federal and State).
Must be HR oriented, and a team worker. Should also be able to work independently, act decisively, and have above-average organizational skills.
Education and Experience : 2 years of HR experience or comparable.
Language Skills :
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to apply concepts of algebra and geometry. Able to calculate interest, proportions and percentages.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Able to deal with problems involving a few variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations: Valid Driver’s License

Standard office equipment, minimum 40 work hours expected per week during company operating hours. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 to 15 pounds. Example supply boxes, storage boxes, reams of paper etc.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $22.50 per hour
