We are seeking an experienced and skilled payroll and accounting specialist to join the Human Resources department of our organization. You will be responsible for: administering employee benefits and insurance policies, Human Capital accounting including processing global and domestic payroll instances, reviewing employee expense reports and other related payroll and accounting tasks. To be successful in this position, candidates should have excellent organizational skills and a solid understanding of various benefits and payroll processes. Top candidates will also be strong communicators, be able to explain relevant legal and tax information to employees, and have accounting-based knowledge/experience in multiple countries (in addition to the United States). Although the position can be remote, TTS is looking for the team member to live in the Charlotte, NC area and come into the Charlotte office periodically to build relationships with co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Processing bi-monthly and monthly accurate payrolls for subsidiaries in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, India and Hong Kong, processing payroll in new jurisdictions as needed
• Employee benefits communication, education and problem solving
• Assisting employees with onboarding and Benefits enrollment processes
• Work to maintain accurate and up to date employee records utilizing HRIS
• Processing employee expense reports
• Occasional data entry tasks
• General human resources, accounting and office support as needed.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills, solid knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal controls, and payroll taxes.
  
• Strong computer literacy and experience with payroll and HRIS software (experience with ADP Workforce a plus).
• Experience with both multi-state and foreign payroll processes preferred.
• Must be able to change and adapt to improvements to processes and procedures.
• Ability to maintain confidential information and knowledge of confidential matters.
• Self-starter – resourceful and able to work independently in an entrepreneurial environment.
• Detail-oriented, deadline-oriented, flexible, timely and accountability for projects.
• Positive and diplomatic attitude when handling employee requests.
• Must have a solid work history, good credit, and clean criminal history.
