DESCRIPTION:
The Director of Operations reports directly to the Chief Operations Officer (COO) and will provide overall leadership and coordination for all SAC Health facilities. The Director of Operations is responsible for the overall operations of the plant operations department inclusive of administrative and technical operations. The Director of Operations will utilize effective planning, organizing, directing, and plant operations to ensure that efficient and effective services are provided while enhancing attainment of individual personnel and facility objectives.
Schedule: 8 hour days, 5 days per week, Monday - Friday
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DELIVERABLES:
- Assist in developing and refining overall operational expansion strategy including start-up process/roadmap, replication unit/model.
- Analyze viability of opening SACHS community clinics in specific locations, with particular emphasis on operational structure and strategies. Assess feasibility and make recommendations.
- Participate in strategic planning, design of new space, growth and acquisition and development of new and existing facilities.
- Exercise responsibility for business development by performing environmental surveillance, developing market opportunities, and negotiating contract commitments.
- Oversee the building, renovation, restoration, and planning - collaborate with all levels of stakeholders- architect, construction team, city officials, licensing, Medical Operations, Compliance & Risk Management.
- At new locations, maintain active involvement with real estate broker to secure location, property management in locations where SAC Health is tenant.
- Oversee work of vendors and contractors in all phases before clinic openings. Work with all departments in all aspects of clinic start-up including equipment placement, community relationship, facilities acquisition, site construction.
- Work closely with COO to ensure that all expansion efforts (e.g., facilities, community development) are consistent with and supportive of the SAC Health model.
- Must understand local policy environment and monitor political and policy issues in all locations where SAC Health conducts start-up work.
- Directs relocation of clinics when required including directing physical move, purchasing furnishing, and coordinating all communication equipment and software with IT department and facilities.
- Follows established policies, procedures, objectives, performance improvement, attendance, safety, environmental and infection control guidelines.
- Lead operational management teams including Supply Chain Management, Facilities, Mailroom, Mobile Unit Maintenance, Company fleet management
- Create a structured business plan and follow through; highly organized; strong negotiation skills; ability to network and build strong genuine relationships.
- Analyze and recommend other mechanisms for SACHS to expand its influence within different communities to enable community leaders to understand the goals, and model.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in healthcare management required. Master's degree preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Valid CA driver's license.
- Required Experience: Five (5) to seven (7) progressive management experience and five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in an ambulatory setting. Must have experience working in a medical/hospital setting with physicians and high-level executives for strategic planning, operations and problem solving. Must be familiar with community health clinic operations and flow.
- Essential Technical/Motor Skills: Proficiency in using standard office software and technology. Ability to navigate and utilize educational platforms and software effectively.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong planning, problem-solving, critical thinking, documentation, and organizational skills are required. Ability to manage time effectively and plan and implement objectives effectively. Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
