Essential Job Functions:
- Payroll tracking and management for all facility employees.
- Personnel changes and employment status changes.
- Friend of the court and garnishment processing and tracking.
- Facility staffing requisitions and coordination of candidate interviews.
- Pre-employment screening and testing scheduling and coordination.
- New hire onboarding and orientation, including physician credentialing.
- Personnel record management
- Benefit administration for current and new employees, including annual Open Enrollment.
- Family Medical Leave and Personal Leave management
- Workers compensation administration.
- OSHA Reporting
- EEOC Reporting
- Unemployment processing
- Annual employee performance review tracking.
- Payroll Based Journal (PBJ) tracking and submission
- Address employee issues and disputes with Administrator
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality
- General customer service
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 yrs experience in Human Resources.
- Minimum of 2 yrs experience in Payroll processing.
- Prior experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility
- Knowledge of current State and Federal employment laws and regulations
- Knowledge of State and Federal laws and regulations associated with working in Healthcare
Physical Demands:
- Mobility – Able to freely move arms, hands and legs. Able to move trunk freely without restriction. Spends approximately 8 hours per day sitting.
- Lifting – Able to lift 5 pounds to 40 pounds without restriction.
- Speaking & Vision – Must be able to speak clearly in the predominant language spoken in the facility by residents and staff. Must be able to see large and fine print with or without corrective lenses.
- Fumes/Odors/Chemical Exposure – Must be able to tolerate odors from the normal bodily functions. Not exposed to fumes. Minimal chemical exposure and protective equipment is supplied.
Travel Required:
- Minimal travel within Michigan.
