Payroll/HR Specialist
Salary commensurate with experience.
KIP America, Inc., the leading innovator in wide format printing, is currently seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our team on either a part-time or full-time basis. This role includes ensuring accurate and timely payment of wages to employees, adherence to payroll regulations and policies, and maintenance of payroll records. This candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision and be able to make decisions about work priorities independently.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or Accounting
- CCP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification is desirable but not mandatory
- Minimum 4 years experience
- Knowledgeable in payroll taxes and laws
- Must have previous multistate experience with payroll software
- (Paychex & Ceridian experience is desirable)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook
- Strong organizational and data management skills
- Positive attitude, teamwork skills and willingness to learn.
Duties & Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Set up and maintain employee information in the system
- Process bi-weekly multistate payroll for salaried and hourly employees
- Calculate paid time off
- Assist with HR tasks including on/offboarding, benefits, and employee inquiries.
- Provide assistance to the Accounting Department
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding sensitive personnel data
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- Must be detailed-oriented with proactive problem-solving skills
