The HR Specialist will be responsible for providing support to the HR department in various areas including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR policies and procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Learning, interpreting and assisting with implementation of all contracts, compliance, standards, and licensing guidelines that the agency must adhere.
- Provides assistance to OHB staff for HR needs
- Maintains employment records and confidentiality of employee information including required checks based on contracting.
- Administers the on-boarding process for new employees, ensuring all checks are completed based on contracting requirements before their hire date.
- Processes all new hire paperwork and new hire required reporting
- Processes invoices for human resources.
- Conducts file audits and other audits as assigned for both employee and client files.
- Analysis of compliance data.
- Maintains historical records, files, and data for trend lines and establishing benchmarks.
- Updates and maintains standards for HR databases.
- Assists Senior Manager of Human Resources with projects or yearly tasks within the HR department
- Provides back up to Payroll
- Assist with HR projects and initiatives as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associate’s degree preferred.
- 2 years’ experience in human resources, administrative assistant or coordinator, data specialist
- Experienced with HR and Office 365 software.
- Ability to work under time constraints in an accurate and orderly manner.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and organizes work to meet deadlines.
- Must provide clear and consistent communication
- Ability to maintain confidential information as well as exercise discretion when working with confidential information.
- Ability to effectively interact with sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences present in the organization’s service population, both individually and in groups.
