POSITION SUMMARY:

The Recruiting and Retention Specialist will represent the Tabitha LIVE2Care Culture through execution of strategies that further the world-class candidate, on-boarding and team member experience.  This key partner contributes to company performance as a collaborative partner for managers/supervisors, TEAMembers and candidates for employment at Tabitha.  By providing tactical and strategic consulting on people and organization strategies in support of the business objectives, this individual will create an exemplary TEAMember experience.  The Recruiting and Retention Specialist supports multiple business units, and organization stakeholders.  This individual will carry out responsibilities in areas of talent recruiting and retention, TEAMember relations consultation and support, organizational development of high performance teams, policy interpretation and application, performance and compensation management consultation, and talent management consultation.  This individual may also support organizational design; TEAMember development initiatives and training.   The Recruiting and Retention Specialist embraces all components of the job, fostering an environment that allows Tabitha to provide optimum care to Tabitha’s Seniors/residents/clients (hereinafter, “Seniors/clients”).  This TEAMember strives to uphold Tabitha’s LIVE2Care Culture and actively embraces Tabitha’s Core Values.   As a result, the TEAMember supports Tabitha goals related to dignity, respect, independence, competence, autonomy, personal comfort, safety and security of Seniors/clients.   In addition, the TEAMember contributes to the success of Tabitha through ongoing collaboration with, TEAmembers, management, volunteers and others in the organization.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Serves organizational partners in recruiting and retention initiatives. Supports talent-based candidate screening to determine the best-fit role for individual and organization.  Plays key liaison and support partner to hiring manager and ensures efficient turn-around activity.
  2. Conducts ongoing analysis for organization leaders on current and future state staffing and talent needs and designs recruiting and retention strategies to meet those needs. 
  3. Actively participates in developing community partnerships, recruitment campaigns, attending job fairs, supporting college relations programs, general networking; etc. to ensure strong candidate pipeline. 
  4. Constantly grows and develops network of contacts to help identify and source high-potential candidates.  Leverages on-line recruiting resources; TEAMember referrals; network referrals; etc. to identify and recruit “best in class” talent.
  5. Facilitates process of candidate selection including screening, in-person interviews, job offer, and candidate on-boarding details. 
  6. Acts as change agent to business through process design and approaches that support change and transformation – striving to lead mutual processes to best practice status.
  7. Provides day-to-day coaching to leadership on a variety of actions to include TEAMember relations issues, team building, policy interpretation and application, talent management and development, and organizational design consultation.   
  8. Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with HR peers to develop solutions; programs and policies.
  9. Co-facilitates New TEAMember Orientation (NTO) program for new TEAMembers. Participates in on-going development of new course content.
  10. Co-facilitates “Coaching Academy” and ‘LIVE2Care’ culture initiatives to be promoted and championed in a variety of methods and integrated into appropriate corporate organization initiatives; etc.
  11. Remains current on trends and innovative recruiting techniques in order to compete in market and within industry.
  12. Leads and/or supports annual Talent and Culture cycle deliverables to include performance management; engagement survey action items, team building, and talent management support.
  13. Evaluates issues, patterns, and trends to provide proactive insights for Talent and Culture solutions and program designs (i.e. training) to address certain needs.    
  14. Partners with Executive Director of Talent and Culture, Recruiting and Retention Team, HRIS and Compensation, and Benefits functions as needed to provide solutions for clients. 
  15. Acts as a representative of Tabitha at all times, demonstrating professionalism in dress and appearance, courtesy, poise, attitude, interactions. Greets visitors, receives and relays phone calls, provides general information and assistance when appropriate.
  16. Utilizes various computerized and manual systems effectively in the performance of job duties. Readily adjusts to changes in these systems

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  Ability to gain access to the work area and then safely perform the duties of the job while utilizing standard and specialized equipment, including but not limited to the equipment described below.  Ability to move about the work area.  Ability to do sedentary work at a computer for hours at a time.  Frequent periods of intense activity, but rare need for physical strength or physical exertion. (Occasionally lifting/carrying a box of records for example) Must have the ability to spot errors or to sense when data output contains an error.  Vision and hearing within normal limits (with or without correction).  Must have unrestricted lift/push/pull ability and pass a 25 - pound physical exam demonstrating strength and agility prior to employment and at Tabitha’s discretion.


EQUIPMENT USAGE: Standard and specialized equipment including laptop, PC, tablet, photocopier, scanner, fax machine, badge making equipment, and telephone. 


AGE REQUIREMENT:  At least age 18.


EDUCATION:  Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or related field or equivalent experience preferred. 


EXPERIENCE:  Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in Talent and Culture (Human Resources) function preferred.  Multi-client support experience a plus.  Healthcare industry experience is a strong plus.     


LICENSURE:  Valid Nebraska Driver’s license (unless otherwise allowed by law) and a good driving record required. Must possess auto insurance at or above Nebraska statutory requirements.
