Job Description
We are looking for an HR Specialist with a warm, detail oriented personality to join our team and monitor all Human Resources functions. HR Specialist responsibilities include preparing compensation and benefits packages, bringing up company policies with compliance, and maintaining updated employee records. To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of full cycle recruiting and solid knowledge of labor legislation. Ultimately, you will foster a healthy workplace by ensuring our HR procedures run smoothly at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Administer compensation and benefit plans
- Administering employee time off and crafting HR policies
- Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes
- Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives
- Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as time off, compensation and resolve any issues that may arise
- Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
- Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies
- Undertake tasks around performance management
- Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates
- Organize quarterly and annual employee performance reviews
- Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form
- Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits and organizing team building activities
- Ensure compliance with labor regulations
- Have excellent communication skills to convey information to employees.
- Technical knowledge about HR-related issues and how legal issues apply to our organization and employees
- Respond to requests for information related to unemployment and worker's compensation claims.
- Support employees with leaves of absence (including FMLA) and short- and long-term disability claims.
- Ensure that all employee records are up-to-date and confidential
- Be the main point of contact for employees’ queries on HR-related topics
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Human Resources, recruiting, or other related fields
- Knowledge of labor and employment laws across multiple states
- Ability to build rapport with all employees
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems will be a plus
- Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems
- BSc/BA in Business administration or relevant work experience
