Job Title: HR Specialist
Job Description / Qualifications
The Human Resources specialist’s job description includes but is not limited to the following:
1. Human Resources
• Assist with the day-to-day operations
• Assist in payroll preparation and data entry
• Assist with group health insurance (medical, dental, vision, life, etc.) enrollment, and inquiries from employees
• Maintain and Manage 401K for employees
• Maintain and update the handbook and inform employees
• Maintain employee’s PTO
• Maintain and update the company’s human resource and labor policy.
• Maintain and update a thorough understanding of employment law and labor legislation.
• Build constructive and timely performance evaluations
• Create and maintain a compensation system
• Create forms for personnel and labor
• Handles employment-related inquiries from employees referring to complex and/or sensitive matters
• Manage employee retention rate solutions and operation of improvement measures
• Conducting Stay/Exit Interviews and surveys to Improve Employee Retention
• Recruit new candidates
• inform employees of a thorough understanding of the Industrial Safety and Health Law.
• Maintain company car
2. General Affairs
• Perform a variety of administrative duties
• Maintain an inventory of office supplies and equipment
• Liaising with facility management vendors, including cleaning, catering, and security services
• Communication with building management and reservation of meeting rooms, etc.
• Mail sorting and shipping
• Assistance with any other tasks
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or relevant experience.
• Strong computer skills in MS Office
• Strong leadership and ability to adapt to the dynamic working environment
• Strong organization skills and ability to work effectively within a team (for Collaboration)
• Attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills in English, Japanese skills are a big plus
• At least 5 years of experience in Human Resources at Japanese companies, especially in developing and maintaining Performance Review, Labor Law, Salary Structure, etc., which must include at least 2-year experiences of Payroll or Benefit Administration
